Description
8" x 11" - White China marker and Prismacolor pencils on black mounting board, for AAP's "Protecting Children from Tobacco and Secondhand Smoke" Contest.
I had a hard time coming up with the idea and the composition for this piece, this is the first traditional piece I have done this summer. I was thinking about gas masks, they have always been very fascinating to me but I never had an opportunity to use them for my art. So, I came up with the idea of a little girl wearing a gas mask, holding a teddy bear while holding a balloon with the "no smoking" symbol on it and there is smoke around her.

08/27/10 UPDATE I won the contest!!! whoo!!! So I won $500, $1000 expenses to travel to San Francisco and $500 for my school. I'm so happy
